Electrical Panel Upgrade in Fort Myers Beach you can count on

Kuhn Electric Inc. replaces panels throughout Lee County, from simple breaker box replacements to full service upgrades that involve the utility. We coordinate the disconnect, pull the permit and schedule the inspection.

The electrical panel is the heart of your home's power. Many houses in Fort Myers Beach still run on 100 amp service or older panels that were never meant for today's loads. A 200 amp panel upgrade adds room for new circuits and cuts nuisance tripping.

In Southwest Florida, hurricane recovery, flood exposure and heavy AC loads drive a lot of our work: panel replacements after water intrusion, generator installs, and wiring for pool equipment and lanai lighting.

Electrical Panel Upgrade in Fort Myers Beach: common questions

How much does an electrical panel upgrade cost in Fort Myers Beach?

Cost depends on the amperage, whether the meter base and service entrance need replacing, and permit fees. We give a written, itemized quote after a quick on-site look.

How long will my power be off?

Most panel replacements take a single day, and power is typically off for a portion of that day. We schedule it with you in advance.

Do I need 200 amps?

Homes with central AC, electric appliances, a pool or an EV charger usually benefit from 200 amp service. A load calculation tells us for sure.

What's the difference between a sub panel and a panel upgrade?

A sub panel adds breaker space in another location, like a garage. An upgrade increases total capacity. Sometimes you need one, sometimes both.

Replaced our outdated fuse box with a 200 amp panel. The house finally handles the dryer and the AC at the same time.
